The perk of having a desktop computer over a laptop, is that you can replace parts as needed, but you lose the mobility a laptop has. Nirav Patel, the co-founder of Oculus VR has vowed to make devices that can be customized and upgraded, perpetually!

If you’re into all the nerdy computer specs like us, the Framework laptop is housed in a milled aluminum case that weighs less than three lbs. It’s got a 13.5” screen and is just 15.85mm thick, making it one of the slimmest laptops. The laptop will be available in a range of 11th Gen Intel processors that’ll be configurable with Wi-Fi 6E, up to 64GB of DDR4 RAM, and 4TB or more of Gen4 NVMe storage.

Something we love to see from new brands is sustainability and eco friendliness. The Framework laptop is expected to ship in the summer 2021 in fully recyclable packaging with no single-use plastics, in line with the company’s goal of reducing the environmental impact of modern tech.

We can not wait to get our hands on one of these. Bye-bye Macbook Pro, this is innovation at it’s finest!
